   BC PREMIER CLARK UNDER CALGARY PETROLEUM CLUB INFLUENCE   
      
   According to a Calgary Herald (Friday Oct. 12, 2011 page B4) BC Premier   
   Christy Clark   
   "squeezed a $500-a-plate political fundraising dinner into a ... Calgary   
   visit". The   
   political dinner was held at the swanky Calgary Petroleum Club with the elite   
   of the   
   Alberta oil and gas industry which is primarily AMERICAN CONTROLLED! (The   
   Canadian   
   Association of Petroleum Producers is or has been dominated by American owned   
   firms).   
      
   You know you do not live in a real democracy when the premier goes outside of   
   the province   
   to raise money to help the Liberals win an election. Obviously, the BC Premier   
   has little   
   support in BC if she has to go outside the province to raise money for   
   political reasons.   
      
   The people of BC should be outraged that the Premier goes to Calgary to raise   
   money to   
   influence elections in BC. If she is going to Calgary to grab cash what will   
   stop her from   
   going elsewhere, like Saudi Arabia or Washington. Maybe the law? If so then   
   the Americans   
   will just show up for dinner and hand cash to her while gaining influence. We   
   need ugly   
   Foreign Oil influence in Canadian politics like we need a hole in our heads!   
   BC should   
   develop the gas British Columbian's ownin a sustainable order- not foreigners!   
   Jobs yes   
   but profits too stupid! That is how you build a stronger economy rather than   
   hearing that   
   sucking sound of profits going abroad and helping build an economy elsewhere.   
   Keep the   
   Americans and all foreign corporations out of the BC oil and gas fields. Make   
   yourself and   
   the province wealthier instead.   
      
   BC politicians should be banned completely from raising money for political   
   purposes as it   
   creates a two tiered financial election system- one for the rich and one for   
   the poor.   
   Also it invites foreign influence as we see. Only the rich (foreign or   
   domestic) can   
   afford to donate to politicians which gives them the upper hand when they want   
   their   
   political views represented in political marketing processes such as   
   advertising.   
   Meanwhile the political parties or politicians that represent the poor have   
   less money   
   because the poor can not afford to donate. This creates a two tiered political   
   system   
   where the poor are left out. This is a representation gap. Those with the most   
   money   
   should not have the upper hand in politics- only the majority should have that   
   hand. Money   
   buys ignorant voters brains through marketing. We need to grow minds- not buy   
   them.   
      
   How can all political donations be eliminated? Simply. There is no need for   
   political   
   donations as the government could print all election flyers for politicians   
   and send those   
   flyers out in the mail so when you reach into your mail box you will find   
   every political   
   candidates information flyer to read at your convenience. The flyers could   
   instruct you to   
   visit a website for more information. No political view would be left out   
   which is what   
   real democracy looks like.   
      
   British Columbian's subsidize profitable political corporate media advertising   
   but instead   
   should subsidize non profit political advertising and get more democracy for   
   the buck. All   
   political media advertising should be banned. There is no reason why tax   
   payers should   
   subsidize attack ads on TV that influence politically ignorant people. Such   
   stupid attack   
   ads are often the only source of political information for many people.   
   Democracy demands   
   more intelligence than this!   
      
   If Premier Christy Clark had a democratic moral bone in her body she would   
   have never   
   taken that money from the Calgary oil titans. This is a Premier that rejects   
   real   
   democracy judging by her stupid actions and she is not fit to be a Premier.   
      
   This is one of the reasons why the "Occupy" movement is occurring- bad   
   democracy. The good   
   democratic people of the world want anti-democratic politicians and their   
   sneaky ways out.   
      
   Be a champion for real democracy and don't vote Liberal because you will just   
   encourage   
   them to be anti-democratic while keeping the population politically stupid.   
      
   Be apart of the democracy you want to see. Undertake political actions.   
      
   Tell your mom.
