My campaign to lead the BC Liberals is going really well, but I really need
your help to keep it going.

One of my main goals is to build a bridge to the next generation of our
natural voters: young people who are working hard and striving to make a
better future for their families, and in many cases to make sure their parents
   and grandparents are taken
   care of too.

Turnout among younger voters has gone way up over the last couple elections,
but we haven’t been doing very well with them at all. This is a crucial
opportunity. Can you help with a donation?

Winning over the next generation is going to be even more essential if the
Electoral Boundaries Commission adds 10 more ridings to the Lower Mainland and
Fraser Valley before the next election, like the NDP wants; 10 new ridings
   full of young urban and
   suburban families.
(Greg: Are you suggesting the Electoral Boundaries Commission is not a
non-partisan office of Elections BC? Population growth in this growing
province is mainly in the Lower Mainland I see developments of high rises and
condos and apts in Surrey and
Burnaby here in Surrey we have a billion dollars of building permits a year.
Trudeau plans to have record immigration to this country over 410,00 a year
many of these ppl will move to the Lower Mainland where there is work and ppl
   who speak their
language and share their culture. I am 56 I remember Grace McCarthy and
Gracies Little Finger she was a Social Crediter and that party morphed into
the B.C. Liberals after Vanderzalm destroyed it in 3 years.
In 1982, then Social Credit cabinet minister Grace McCarthy was suspected of
using her influence to have her Little Mountain riding boundaries redrawn to
include a sliver of a wealthy Vancouver neighbourhood. That sliver was forever
   known as Gracie's
finger. B.C. Riding Changes Could Be Worse Than Gracie's Finger | HuffPost

In 1982, McCarthy was suspected of interfering in the re-drawing of the
electoral boundaries of her Little Mountain constituency, to include an
appendage of a wealthy Westside area of Vancouver, helping ensure her
   electoral success. This appendage and
subsequent scandal became known as Gracie's Finger. The actual area in
question was between 16th and 33rd Avenues in Vancouver around the Arbutus
   Street corridor.

   Electoral Boundaries Commission
After every two general elections, a three-person, independent, non-partisan
electoral boundaries commission is established to propose changes to the area,
boundaries and names of the electoral districts of British Columbia. This
   ensures that each MLA
represents a similar number of people.

The Legislative Assembly reviews the commission’s proposals and votes to
approve them, reject them, or approve them with alterations. If the
commission’s proposals are approved or approved with alterations, the
government must introduce them as a
   Bill.

The Melnick Commission submitted its proposals to the Speaker of the
Legislative Assembly in 2015 and later that year the Legislative Assembly
passed the Electoral Districts Act, establishing the current 87 electoral
   districts.

A new Electoral Boundaries Commission will be appointed following the 2020
   general election.
Electoral Boundaries Commission | Elections BC

Total Registered Voters (elections.bc.ca) Why is it Nechacko Lakes riding,
North Coast, Skeena, Peace River South, Stikine (The B.C. Liberals have 3 of
these 5 ridings while in the Legislature the NDP have twice as many MLAs than
   the B.C. Liberals) all
with under 21,000 voters get the same representation in the Legislature as
Surrey South, Victoria Beacon Hill, Surrey White Rock, Vernon Monanshee,
Vancouver Fairview, Vancouver Mount Pleasant all with over 41,000 voters? As
   you have noted NDP does
better in the Lower Mainland the last two elections than the floundering BC
Liberals. Why shouldn't the Lower Mainland and other population centers not
get more M.L.A.s so that one person one vote every vote matters is more
   achieved? No wonder young ppl
are turning you old guard B.C. Liberals off you are cynical, lying, conniving
and have a history of crime, corruption, scandals, bungling and cutting many
social programs while making sweet deals for ppl connected to the B.C.
   Liberals. We await the
   Cullen Commission findings. )

If we don’t figure out how to do a heck of a lot better with voters under
40, it’s going to be an uphill battle to form a BC Liberal government ever
   again.

(Greg: Change the name. Your only hope is that Pragmatic John Horgan for some
reason leaves the reigns of the NDP and some idealogue (sp) takes over.)
This could be an NDP province for a long time. (Greg: As long as they govern
well and continue to have very few scandals what is wrong with that? W.A.C.
Bennett was Premier for 20 years although the NDP higher echelons loathed him
   he took over B.C.
Hydro and created B.C. Ferries something that was decidedly socialist even
though he was a free enterpriser generally. )

I like winning elections. Do you?

That’s why I’m so focused on young families. Whether I’m your first
choice for leader or your fifth, I hope you agree that it’s critical to
demonstrate that there’s room in our party for the next generation of
   leaders and voters.

Many of the grassroots new voters I’m working hard to bring into our party
are carrying a heavy load of mortgage and rent payments, diapers and daycare.
They’re all over the province, they’re a lot like me and my wife Erin and
   our kids Abby and
Evan. They’re a lot like you, whether now or decades ago. (Greg: The NDP
have brought in a rent bank which has a 72% payback rate for ppl who for some
reason find themselves in a financial crunch. You ppl were in majority power
   for 16 years and did
nothing like that. John Horgan and Trudeau at Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam
recently made an announcement for over $3.2 billion dollars for childcare of
provincial money and Trudeau is throwing us $9.2 billion dollars for daycare
