Nope . . . all I had to do was reprint all your pro-environmentalist postings
from a few years back to make you out a hypocrite.
After that, it was downhill all the way for you. No credibility, no attention
   from other posters.

   This yours, Dobranski?

Well, oil companies have been actively recruiting scientists to refute the
findings of the orthodoxy. So far they haven't come up with much. You
would think the players that stand to lose billions and trillions could
   find
at least a good wedge or a crack in the model to exploit, but so far their
efforts have been fruitless. And then we have cases like White House
   editing
out global warming or any hint of global warming from dozens of scientific
reports, to the point where scientists were quitting in disgust. If there
is that much effort put into silencing the orthodoxy, the only
   conclusion is
that there must be a lot of scary truth in it.

Your agenda is denial and skepticim for the sake of denial and skepticim...
that is already clear. If you were interested in objective debate you would
at least try to leave your extreme bias behind.

Along with the evidence I can see out my own window, I can go over to
the Rockies and look at the retreating glaciers. I can talk to my
construction buddy in Nunavut who reports they have to sink piles deeper
into the ground now because the permafrost is retreating. Another buddy
in Yellowknife tells me the ice roads are opening later and closing sooner.

I suspect the people who think GW is a myth live in protected urban
environments where the evidence just isn't visible. People who are in
tune with their natural surroundings tend to be a lot more observant and
aware of changes in the environment.

It doesn't prove man-made global warming, but if the research data
DIDN'T show an upward trend in global temperatures, THAT would be a true
scandal. The warming is a fact and nobody has yet been able to show the
warming is due to strictly natural phenomena. The "disgraced CRU" is
but one research organization of many that have INDEPENDENTLY come to
   this conclusion.

All this willful denial and ignorance can only be from shut-ins who
don't get out in the world much.

I wish you could look out my window. When I was growing up the local
community ski hill was a thriving place this time of year. There was
never a problem getting enough snow to open the hill at the beginning of
December. That would be the years roughly 1973 to 1982 that I went
there as a kid. In the past 20 years it has opened twice, and only for
a couple of weeks before it got too warm and the snow disintegrated. We
get mostly rain in the winters now. Just a few decades ago the
average winter would involve several feet of snow and -15 to -40
   temperatures.

Another look out my window reveals vast expanses of pine devastation.
The mountain pine beetle, which used to be kept in check by cold
winters, exploded and killed all the pine trees in western Canada.
We're talking hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of hectares of dead trees.

Last September I saw a TURKEY VULTURE flying over my backyard. Cool.
It was the first one anyone had ever seen the far north up the valley.

I'm seeing the effects of climate change from my own home with my own
eyes.... and you're telling me the evidence is fraudulent?

An unusual phenomena that carries on for two decades (and still going)
