On Wednesday evening the West Point Gray Residents Association held a public   
   meeting on the future of the Jericho Lands. It was a sellout attendance with   
   the whole Gymnasium floor covered in tight rows of chairs and people standing   
   along the sides and at    
   the back.   
      
   Presentations were given by the First Nations, Canada Land Sales, MLA David   
   Eby and a Civil Servant from the BC Land Disposal Department.   
      
   When the first Nations were giving their PowerPoint show, male voices at the   
   back heckled, "Enough of that, we didn't come here to hear a bunch of Indians."   
      
   When the BC Civil Servant took the microphone, male voices at the back   
   heckled, "Look, Christy has sent in some old gay to talk to us."   
      
   The representative from BC Land Disposal Department told the audience that the   
   Province was to begin consultations with the First Nations in May and that   
   they have had many successful negotiations with First Nations in the past.
