. . . . Or with a screwdriver, or a stapler, or even a cell phone. They have
   to kill him.

Is this what we want for police officers? Yahoos that can't disarm a person
with such innocuous items in their hands - often not even being used in a
   threatening manner?

No bloody wonder so many mentally-ill people are ending up dead when someone
in the family or the neighbourhood calls police to report a person 'behaving
   strangely'.

These cops are operating by some rule book, some flawed police academy
training, or because they're shit-scared just about doing their jobs. Are
they by any chance being told to consider these protesters as 'terrorists'
   under C-51 legislation?

I would advise that anyone seeing someone 'behaving strangely' call someone
other than police. A friend or relative if you know that someone - or simply
use some bear spray. Calling the cops could be a death warrant for a
   'strangely behaving' person.

B.C. man in Guy Fawkes mask killed by RCMP identified, Anonymous 'hacktivist'
   group vows revenge

James Daniel McIntyre, 48, of Dawson Creek, B.C., fatally shot by RCMP
Thursday night outside a restaurant in Dawson Creek, where a hearing for a
hydroelectric dam was being held. Anonymous has claimed McIntyre was one of
   its comrades.

VANCOUVER--A man shot and killed by police in northern British Columbia has
   been identified.

The corners' service has issued a news release identifying the man as James
Daniel McIntyre, a 48-year-old resident of Dawson Creek, B.C.

The release says McIntyre was fatally shot Thursday night outside a restaurant
in Dawson Creek, where a hearing for the Site C hydroelectric dam was taking
   place.

Eyewitness video shows a man wearing a Guy Fawkes mask lying bloodied on the
ground while two RCMP officers face him with weapons drawn.

The global activist hackers' group Anonymous has claimed through social media
that the man was one of its comrades and has vowed revenge against the RCMP.

The province's police watchdog is investigating the shooting and says a knife
   has been taken into evidence.
