   The 'Zeroth Law of Arithmetic' states BIG numbers are more significant than   
   tiny numbers, in math notation BIG > tiny. Global warming is a tiny number   
   compared to BIG numbers like that of the 'Urban Heat Island Effect' or the   
   difference between day and night or the temperature difference between   
   Summer and Winter. The first recorded instance of violation of this Law of   
   Arithmetic was by Dr. Frank Baxter, a professor of English, on the Bell   
   System Science Series, in "Meteora: The Unchained Goddess" (1958). Instead   
   of correcting the English Professor's arithmetic, every one following   
   exploited it for their own gain. That means 62 years of bad arithmetic, so   
   far.   
      
   Carl Sagan, father of "Greenhouse" was not considered a serious scientist in   
   his day. After 7 years at Harvard he was denied tenure. At Cornell he   
   mentored no graduate students, who are each serious scientists. Bill Nye the   
   "science" guy earned a B.S. at Cornell. He is a supporter of the antiscience   
   of Al Gore.   
      
   Al Gore studied government at Harvard. He took ONE science class from   
   oceanographer Roger Revelle. In that class Al Gore leaned of claims by Carl   
   Sagan but he was not exposed to the "Ideal Gas Law". Later Roger Revelle   
   denounced to alarmism of Al Gore, maybe Revelle learned of the "Ideal Gas   
   Law".   
      
   The Ideal Gas Law; PV=nRT predicts, according to the Laws of Buoyancy of   
   Archimedes (Eurika!), that hot air rises and moist hot air rises faster.   
   Compare what can be seen by eye in Summer with cartoons published by the UN   
   IPCC.   
      
   Green slogan "heat trapping gas" is an oxymoron. However air absorption of   
   IR radiation can be understood in terms of Beer-Lambert Law. Extinction   
   coefficient and Extinction depth can be understood by a simple experiment.   
   With the flame of a BIC lighter trace out the "comfort zone" in lateral   
   plane and from above. One can bring a finger to 1 cm. of flame in lateral   
   plane. In the vertical direction above it is not possible to bring hand to   
   within 6 inches without pain. One centimeter is the extinction depth of IR   
   radiation in air.   
      
   Blacktop on highways is a near perfect black body, studied incorrectly by   
   Carl Sagan, father of "Greenhouse". In summer emitted IR radiation is   
   absorbed within one centimeter of roadway and then rises according to the   
   "Ideal Gas Law". This produces a temperature/ density gradient that can be   
   seen as a refractive mirage of water sitting on the highway. "Greenhouse" is   
   near your ankles not above your head. Al Gore depicted himself as a demigod   
   reaching between Sun and Earth not as a Lilliputian.   
      
   "Green" is a global conspiracy to make the people stupid in science and   
   arithmetic.
