20 Aug 15 21:10, you wrote to All: AT> So, is anyone actually using Bluewave QWK reader these days? I see how it AT> can come in handy, with all these Fidonet echos. yep, there's quite a few folks using it... you won't find them in the admin/arguing areas, though... they are mostly users of traditional BBSes... AT> Are there any big issues with it at the moment? I'm willing to use it, AT> probably for Fidonet only. Where can I get the current version? the last version from the '90s before the author had a really bad accident is what's currently available... it requires a patch to handle a Y2K problem but other than that, it works well even though it cannot be registered without using a (hacked??) keygen... AT> Does anyone happen to know how well it works with Mystic BBSs? i don't think that mystic does BW packets (yet?) but it does do QWK which bluewave can work with... with all that said, if you don't want to dance the BW dance, there's always multimail which is still being developed and has binaries for several platforms as well as being open source so you can compile it on your machine if you desire such... multimail does BW, QWK and several other formats of offline mail... )\/(ark ... It is better to forget all of an old song than just half of it! --- * Origin: (1:3634/12.73) |
