   A Franklin High School art teacher was arrested on suspicion of   
   having an improper relationship with a student, officials said.   
      
   Jaime Alonso Arias was arrested Nov. 14 by the El Paso Police   
   Department in connection with a charge of an improper   
   relationship between an educator and a student, according to   
   court records.   
      
   He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a bond of $50,000.   
   He posted bail Nov. 15, jail logs show.   
      
   Arias was an art teacher at Franklin High School, El Paso   
   Independent School District spokesman Gustavo Reveles said.   
      
   Reveles said that when the district was told of the police   
   investigation, Arias was ordered not to continue working with   
   students.   
      
   "EPISD restricted his contact with students as soon as it was   
   informed of an investigation into an improper relationship with   
   a student," Reveles said.   
      
   Reveles said he could not confirm if Arias is still working at   
   the school because the district is closed for the Thanksgiving   
   holiday.
