Perhaps a few       high risk freshly release jailbirds, but if they last a month it goes up       quick.              Floor rate for no skills is pretty much $14/hr if you are at all       literate to G6, can show up sober, not to fat as not to move, don't       smell too bad, and $14 is floor rate. Add if you make G12, and add more       if you get a trade skill.              I know a illiterate painter that makes $100k year. Works 9 hours a day       6 days a week in the summer, and elss in the winter by choice. He works       fast and good, so people want him and pay a premium to get him.              But he is no liberal arts sissy a whining.              Myth: Government can improve wages.       Truth: Government forcing wages up beyond what people are worth means no       jobs at all.              Best employment environments I have been in are where the local economy       is profitable, running well, businesses make money so they want to hire       more people for competative wages and conditions.              Part of why I left Ontario, all I could find in 1980 was employers       saying, lucky you have a zero minimum wage job. So I left. Still is a       zero economy in that town. But now retired early. Why work for the       government as slave?       --       Socialist-statism corruption is a great idea so long as the credit is       good and other people pay for it. When the credit runs out and those       that pay for it leave, they can all share having nothing but       unemployment, debt and discontentment.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
