He used them in exactly the       same manner as did the Conservative parties and the Liberal parties.       Harper brought in a whole new set of rules when he realized the NDP were       gaining on them in the polls. Get your facts straight.              > China jails 1000s of corrupt politicians, cops answer to committees not       > omni powerful leaders. Canada has no politicians in jail. Do Canadians press for Recall legislation?       For legislation that would MANDATE removal of politicians found to be       guilty of a criminal offence?       - Or for cheating on election rules going into an election?       Do you see Canadians getting as excited about what's wrong with their       politicians and political system as they do about a damned hockey or       soccer game?                     > CRA corrupt too. Not to mention the       natives of this country.                     > What should scare people is other snivil servants and others in the       > corrupt PC Party knew this was happening and said nothing. And how much       > more corruption is there we don't know about.              Even if we find out about it, what the hell is the penalty? Bad press       for them and their party in the media? Maybe not being re-elected?       What legislation is there that would have them removed from office? WHO       should be demanding that legislation be introduced into our government       system?              > Fact is Canadian politics is as corrupt as a third world country, we       > just polish the turds better. In fact, some third world countries are       > better as the dictator is the only corrupt mouth to feed.              Fact is, Canadians are complacent idiots when it comes to their       politicians. Right now, Justin Trudeau and Thomas Mulcair are under       fire from Canadians across this country for their comments on 'Israel       has a right to defend itself'. I doubt anyone is writing to Harper on       the issue, because they KNOW him to be a bigot and whoremonger for the       Jews of this country and of Israel. There is either going to be a       reversal on the parts of Trudeau and Mulcair on their stance, or they're       going to lose a whole lot of votes to the Green Party.              It's one thing to whine about our corrupt political system; it's a whole       other thing to be vocal about the issues and make our voices heard to       the politicians who need our votes.       I challenge anyone who feels strongly about any issue you see or hear in       the media to bloody put your fingers to the keyboard and send your       political leaders a message voicing your thoughts. If you're too shy to       use your real name, use a pseudonym, just identify what part of the       country you're writing from so they know where their votes may be       endangered.              Harper is a write-off unless you're fond of rightwing liars, corporate       lackeys and bigots. But even there, if enough emails reach his MPs in       various jurisdictions, you may see those MPs straighten up and fly in a       different direction from their omnipotent leader. Can't hurt to try.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
