EV>Rob, I read through many BASIC programs I downloaded and learned some >tricks from some of them to help me when writing code. >BASIC and Batch code is as far as I could understand. Ilearned Basic for Apple (Applesoft) for the first computers I built and then had to learn GWBasic when I got an IBM type computer a couple of years later. Also, as you said, Batch code was pretty much required, and I also learned how to write code to create interactive screens for a few friends BBS systems before you could just create WYSIWYG pages through proglams like The Draw, and later MS Word.. But I never got into machine languages. I did get and learn an extended Basic with a lot more commands and utilities built in using APBasic, which had the advantage of being compilable into EXE files so you could give programs to people without having to teach them how to run them through Basic.. --- * SLMR Rob * I still have a full deck... I just shuffle slower * Origin: Capitol City Online (1:2320/105) SEEN-BY: 105/81 106/201 128/187 129/14 305 153/7715 154/110 218/700 SEEN-BY: 226/30 227/114 229/110 112 134 206 300 307 317 426 428 470 SEEN-BY: 229/664 700 705 291/111 292/854 320/219 322/757 396/45 460/58 SEEN-BY: 633/280 712/848 902/26 2320/0 105 107 304 5020/400 5075/35 PATH: 2320/105 229/426 |
