MSGID: 1:153/757.0 e581fc2f TZUTC: -0700 CHRS: LATIN-1 2 I saw a squidge on it ewlsewhere & began doing further research. This site seems to be the most comprehensive in the background story: https://www.huffpost.com/archive/ca/entry/heart-canadian-connection_n_2902628 I hadn't heard therewere illegal drafts happening for Viet Nam & thoe who evaded them were not considered guilty of draft evasion. Still great music -- that vocal range of Ann's -- wow! Kept me coming back to their music for 40+ years now! I can't help but wonder if all the hype about Heart being Canadian was away to circumvent "Canadian content" laws on Canadian media, by the record studio. A lie! A bloody lie! Nothing wrong with San Diego girls, definitely. Ann followed her "magic man" up here as he fled the [illegal] draft. The sisters married the two brothers who had formed the earlier versions of the band in Seattle, and were(the girls were) definitely much responsible for the band's earliest successes. --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Toy-6 * Origin: The Rusty MailBox - Penticton, BC Canada (1:153/757) SEEN-BY: 15/0 105/81 106/201 124/5016 129/305 330 331 134/100 153/141 SEEN-BY: 153/250 757 6809 7715 203/0 218/700 840 220/70 221/0 6 226/17 SEEN-BY: 229/110 317 426 428 664 700 250/8 267/800 280/464 5003 282/1038 SEEN-BY: 292/854 8125 301/1 310/31 317/3 320/219 322/757 341/234 396/45 SEEN-BY: 423/120 712/848 770/1 100 340 772/210 220 230 2320/105 2452/250 SEEN-BY: 3634/24 PATH: 153/757 280/464 770/1 317/3 229/426 |
