 MSGID: 1:153/757.0 64678b9e TZUTC: -0700 CHRS: LATIN-1 2 I know we are a Constitutional Monarchy, but I was looking at the definition of a Republic, & we pretty much fill it: We have a Constitution that is our highest law. We elect representatives. We have a bi-0cameral legislature, where the upper(Senate) polishes proposed laws & sends them back to the lower(House of Commons) if they need to be better worded. Our head of state has final say on a bill before it officially becomes law. Close enough, I'd say -- could we say we are a de facto republic, an hereditary head of state notwithstanding? --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Toy-6 * Origin: The Rusty MailBox - Penticton, BC Canada (1:153/757) SEEN-BY: 15/0 105/81 106/201 124/5016 129/305 330 331 134/100 153/141 SEEN-BY: 153/250 757 6809 7715 203/0 218/700 840 220/70 221/0 6 226/17 SEEN-BY: 229/110 111 112 113 317 426 428 470 664 700 250/8 267/800 SEEN-BY: 280/464 5003 282/1038 292/854 8125 301/1 310/31 317/3 320/219 SEEN-BY: 322/757 341/234 396/45 423/120 633/280 712/848 770/1 100 SEEN-BY: 770/340 772/210 220 230 2320/105 2452/250 3634/24 PATH: 153/757 280/464 770/1 317/3 229/426 |
