No doubt. I don't blame the station owner for implementing that system. They KNOW who the locals/regulars are, so they could activate specific pumps to allow normal operation. But when it gets busy I suppose it's hard to individualize each usage. I was fine with using the CC card at the pump. But they stopped maintaining the printers at the pumps, so I have to go in to get a receipt - that kinda defeats the purpose of "convenience", imho. AI> I use my debt card most of the time. Yes.. that's sounds like the way it actually works, wrt debit cards. But they "overcharge" on a credit card, and the actual amount gets resolved after a few days. Turns out that the person was confused about the "pre- authorized limit". She thought it was the actual amount she was paying. I don't understand the mentality of drive-offs. Their cars and plates are recorded as evidence. The police will track them down, and they will be charged and get a record. The only way they might get away with it is if they shield their plates. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.51 * Origin: Stare into this point intently ->.<- (1:153/757.21) SEEN-BY: 15/0 105/81 106/201 124/5016 129/305 330 331 134/100 153/0 SEEN-BY: 153/141 757 7715 203/0 218/700 840 220/70 221/0 6 226/17 SEEN-BY: 229/110 111 112 113 317 426 428 470 664 700 250/8 267/800 SEEN-BY: 280/464 5003 282/1038 292/854 8125 301/1 310/31 317/3 320/219 SEEN-BY: 322/757 341/66 234 396/45 423/120 633/280 712/848 770/1 100 SEEN-BY: 770/340 772/210 220 230 2320/105 2452/250 3634/24 PATH: 153/757 280/464 770/1 317/3 229/426 |
