To my knowledge, as far as french-language echoes, there was a bunch with
french-speaking Belgium, french-speaking Switzerland and french-speaking
Canada.
 
Among these countries there was something going-on called "Franco-media". I
don't know what it was about. France never was big in Fidonet because people
were playing with their Minitel. French-speaking Belgium and Switzerland were
only having a handful of nodes each, maybe 1 in Luxembourg. I would guess
Franco Media collapsed because there was not a single feed of whatever.
Any remaining nodes in Canada? I honestly doubt it.
