Yes, that is a year now which can be taken by either parent or split
up between them, they don't get a year each.

The problem there are the maximums that Maternity leave pays which
is often far below what the person would earn working. It is a
percentage of your pay (I believe 55%) and there's an upper limit
($650 a week) which would really hurt highly paid people.
