I didn't even realize that he had a couple of albums out in the 90's. I checked them out.. and the songs don't appeal to me. Another recording around 2019 called "Solo" is also unimpactful musically. His voice loses the low register, and he spends a lot of time "squeezing out" the higher notes. But many of the songs have excellent life-musing lyrics. I think other singers could give those later songs in the 90's a better chance to be noticed. The Sundown album seems to be the most recent best. I'd add the tune "The Watchman's Gone", and "Is There Anyone Home" to the above list as worthy listens. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.57 * Origin: Stare into this point intently ->.<- (1:153/757.21) SEEN-BY: 15/0 105/81 106/201 124/5016 129/305 134/100 153/0 141 143 SEEN-BY: 153/149 757 6809 7715 203/0 218/840 220/70 221/0 6 226/17 SEEN-BY: 226/30 227/114 229/110 112 113 275 307 317 426 428 470 664 SEEN-BY: 229/700 240/1120 250/8 267/800 280/464 5003 282/1038 292/854 SEEN-BY: 292/8125 301/1 310/31 317/3 320/219 322/757 341/66 234 396/45 SEEN-BY: 423/120 460/58 633/280 712/848 770/1 100 340 772/210 220 SEEN-BY: 772/230 2320/105 3634/24 PATH: 153/757 280/464 770/1 317/3 229/426 |
