I'm familiar with Wolfman Jack, yes that was before I was born. My introduction to "good stuff" as a kid was in the form of badly scratched and abused K-Tel albums. I think in Europe they were known as Ronco albums? These were bargain-basement advertised-on-TV collections of 50s/60s/70's music usually 3 minute snippets, many songs crammed onto one side of bad quality vinyl. I had also inherited a few shoeboxes of badly abused 45's from an uncle who was killed in a grain elevator farming accident in the 70's. But to a young boy who could not afford a massive record collection those cheap throwaway vinyls were a real treasure of music, which I then began to dig deeper into the artists, albums those songs were from. Discovering more treasure from there... and working my first part time jobs to be able to afford a very decent Hifi setup. And the 20 megabyte Tandy hard-drive...
