 MSGID: 1:153/757.21@fidonet 19be97b8 PID: OpenXP/5.0.58 (Win32) CHRS: ASCII 1 TZUTC: -0400 Anyone here using Bell internet and have experience with downgrading from their unlimited plan at $100/mo to $85/mo for 100GB? I have a friend who is with the service and I've been tasked to make adjustments to save them money with the service where I can. Recently, we started one billing period at the unlimited for $100/mo plan. Then, about 15 days in, I noticed that my friend only used barely 20GB. So.. I switched the plan to the 100GB for $85/mo. According to Bell, they claim to make prorated adjustments. Bell, in their seemingly wise wisdom, managed to charge MORE than we expected. Infact, their total calculation came to $103.50! Here's how.. From Sept 17 to Sep 23: [o] internet unlimited, $100, 7 days, Amount 23.33 [o] internet 100GB, $85CR, 7 days, Amount 19.83CR Total Partial and Other Charges & Credits: 3.50 Total Internet Charges 103.50 How does that even work? To me... a more honest calculation to benefit the user would be: $100, 16 days used, .: prorate for 16 days, .: (16/30)100 = $53.33 $85, 14 days remaining, .: prorate for 14 days, .: (14/30)85 = $39.67 .: total monthly = 53.33 + 39.67 = 93.00 -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.58 * Origin: Stare into this point intently ->.<- (1:153/757.21) SEEN-BY: 105/81 106/201 124/5016 128/187 129/305 134/100 153/0 143 SEEN-BY: 153/148 149 151 757 6809 7715 154/30 203/0 218/700 221/0 SEEN-BY: 221/6 226/30 227/114 229/110 114 275 300 307 317 426 428 SEEN-BY: 229/470 664 700 240/1120 280/464 5003 282/1038 291/111 292/854 SEEN-BY: 292/8125 301/1 310/31 320/219 322/757 341/66 234 396/45 423/120 SEEN-BY: 460/16 58 256 1124 5858 633/280 712/848 770/1 2320/105 5015/46 SEEN-BY: 5020/400 5054/30 5075/35 5080/102 PATH: 153/757 280/464 460/58 229/426 |
