Yes, in general most people with any chance to be President have to
be wealthy to begin with - theoretically not required but almost
impossible to accomplish otherwise - and then the job is normally
very stressful and they make a lot less money doing it than they
probably made in their other working options.

About the only person the job isn't hard on would be one who enjoys
the power and celebrity without really caring that much if they change
anything or not..
