You can pretty much skip Apoint. It "broke" at times.

The Winpoint comments are woefully out of date now.  The  
program has since gone through many updates.

Some of the OpenXP issues have been delt with and it seems to  
be problem-free now.

Well.. there are other fidonet/fsxnet/micronet echo areas that  
could fit the requirement.
