That last bit was what I was hinting at.  They play on their emotions in
order to mislead them into believing something is a bigger problem than it
is.

I don't know about illegal here, but it would be frowned upon to the point
where there would undoubtedly be counter-paraders/protesters showing up,
and it would be painted as homophobic, supremacist, etc.

I was not aware of that but, if that is the case, yes that would be
something that would certainly get you in trouble at a Straight Pride
Parade.  ;)
