   It may have changed in recent years, but when I was there in '04/'05 the   
   policy was "two beer per man, per day (perhaps)".  Part of it might have   
   been the whole Balkans thing, but we were on quasi dry status there even   
   back in '96.  I think it was mostly because it was a dumb idea to drink too   
   much - we were in blackout in Camp Julien, and I had enough trouble getting   
   around sober without walking into stuff.   
      
   Yeah, we grumbled a bit about being treated like kids, but the Belgians and   
   Hungarians proved more than once the downside of not keeping a tight lid on   
   the booze.
