   	Why is socialism OK in the USA as long as you are killing people?   
      
   I exaggerate of course. The USA, like most western countries has a mixed   
   economy. The USA has more capitalism and free enterprise and less   
   socialism than most western countries, but they do socialize the following:   
      
   - justice   
   - police   
   - primary and secondary education   
   - welfare for the poor   
   - armed forces and other security forces   
   - medical care for the very poor and old   
      
      
   Private insurance companies in the USA interfere with peoples health   
   choices to a MUCH greater degree than any government plan in any western   
   country with universal health care. The right wing in the USA is telling   
   many outrageous lies about the proposed health care plans.
