   I've killfiled everything that's cross-posted anywhere.  That results in   
   deafening silence in here, but virtually no spam.   
      
   Much of the loss in traffic here is probably the result of the advent of   
   the web forum.  The advantages of Usenet are perhaps only apparent to   
   those of us who remember the Internet before there was a World Wide
