   No point in singling out the Poles. Human ethnic groups don't cooperate   
   well with other ethnic groups. If two ethnic groups both form nation   
   states and border each other they'll have wars. If one ethnic group,   
   like the Jews, pervades others (by force of circumstance and history)   
   then it will eventually be subject to persecution by the dominant groups   
   in each area it finds itself in. The fact that much of Europe was   
   anti-Semitic and anti-Romany is self-explanatory through human nature;   
   if you look at other parts of the world you'll find many similar   
   examples involving other ethnic groups.   
      
   We in North, Central and South America very efficiently took care of the   
   aboriginals. About the only thing we didn't do was build ovens.   
      
   What the Nazis stand out for is that they industrialized the   
   extermination process. That's what shocks people. It shouldn't - odds   
   are pretty good that whatever ethnic groups(s) you come from conducted   
   what were basically ethnic cleansing campaigns at various times in its   
   past. I don't think the target groups ever cared much about how all the   
   bodies were disposed of.
