XPost: rec.collecting.sport.hockey, alt.marketplace.books, rec.a       tiques.marketplace       From: jrsinc@mnsi.net              1973 "Twenty-Seven Days In September" (Canada/Russia Series) Book                     I have for sale the out-of-print, 1st edition hardcover book "Twenty-Seven       Days In September" (The Official Hockey Canada History Of The 1972       Canada/U.S.S.R. Series) by Hockey Canada (1973). The edition contains 129       pages of game-by-game text as well as vintage black and white and       full-color photographs profiling the 1972 Canada/Russia Hockey Series.       Game-Action Photos include: Bobby Orr, Paul Henderson, Ken Dryden, Tony       Esposito, Frank Mahovlich, Stan Mikita, Bobby Clarke, Yvon Cournoyer,       Gilbert Perreault, Jean Ratelle, Ron Ellis, Rod Gilbert, Phil Esposito,       Brad Park, Wayne Cashman, Guy Lapointe, Serge Savard, Marcel Dionne,       Vladislav Tretiak, and many more. Also included is an 11"x17" full-color       Team photo including Team Canada players, coaches, trainers and staff, an       11"x17" autograph page including all players' signatures, and complete Team       and Individual scoring statistics.       Front Jacket Excerpt:       "On September 2, 1972, at 8:29 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, an American       referee named Gordon Lee skated into the centre ice circle at the Montreal       Forum and dropped a puck between a Canadian named Phil Esposito and a       Soviet named Vladimir Petrov. In the 18 years as an amateur hockey       official, Lee had presided at hundreds of game-opening faceoffs, more than       he or anyone else could remember, but this one was different. This one he       would remember for the rest of his life, and so would millions of Canadian       hockey fans-because that simple act of dropping the puck between Esposito       and Petrov started the clock on the greatest hockey series in history: Team       Canada vs the U.S.S.R. National Team."       The "Twenty-Seven Days In September" (Canada/Russia Series) Book is in MINT       condition.       Price $25. US plus postage                     Please include your "postal mailing address" so I can calculate postage       costs to your destination. Thank you              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
