Frederick Wellington Taylor       was born in Tara, Ontario, in 1884 and grew up in nearby Listowel. He       learned to skate at an early age, and in his teens was already touted as       one of the fastest and trickiest players around. His career spanned the       entire history of the modern game of hockey-from its pioneering days to       its eventual emergence as a big-time money sport. In 1905 Taylor joined the       first professional hockey league in history as a member of the Portage Lake       team in Houghton, Michigan...A few years later Taylor was paid $5,250 for       one 12-game season with the Renfrew Creamery Kings, later known as the       Millionaires - at that time, the highest per-game salary ever received by a       team athlete."       The "Cyclone Taylor: A Hockey Legend" 1st edition book is in excellent       condition.       Price $25.
