"He was two persons," the author       writes, "one the friendly, outgoing man...the other, the creative artist       determined to achieve fulfillment whatever the cost, fiercely loyal to       Canada, and scornful of small-minded people unable to see beyond their       noses."       "This intimate study traces the the full sweep of A.Y. Jackson's long life       from the early years of struggling to be recognized, when Lawren Harris       rented him a studio in downtown Toronto, and Tom Thomson, lived and painted       in a woodshed in the back yard, to national acclaim and his final years."       About The Author:       "While O.J. Firestone has established an international reputation as an       economist, his lifelong avocation has been art appreciation. Dr. Firestone       has collected over 1200 important Canadian paintings, more than half of       which are by The Group Of Seven; this collection was donated to the Ontario       Heritage Foundation in 1972."       The 1st Edition Hardcover "The Other A.Y.
