Fischler (1972). The       edition contains 272 pages including black and white photographs profiling       the Toronto Maple Leafs, National Hockey League Club. The back jacket       features a game-action photo including Dave Keon and Terry Sawchuk (Maple       Leafs), and Walt Tkaczuk (New York Rangers).       Front Jacket Excerpt:       "Ice hockey, the fast, ferocious, game that is one of the most popular       sports in America today, wasn't born in Toronto. It just seems that way,       for the history of hockey is inextricably bound to the team that brought to       the game an enthusiasm and finesse that changed its course: the Toronto       Maple Leafs. Power Play! The Story Of The Toronto Maple Leafs is, actually,       the story of hockey itself, Stan Fischler traces the history of the club       from the days when pioneer goalies wore no pads at all, through the       calamities, brawls, franchise and name changes, Stanley Cups won and lost,       and Torontos' Gasshouse Gang, right up to Punch Imlach, Frank Mahovlich,       and the present day. Finally, fourteen pages of records and vital statistics       are included."       The "Power Play! The Story Of The Toronto Maple Leafs" 1st edition,       hardcover book is in excellent condition.       Price $40. US plus postage                     Note: Photos available upon request.                     Please include your "postal mailing address" so I can calculate postage       costs to your destination.
