   I was in Santa Ana California last week.   
      
   I went to Best Buy and Fry's.   
      
   The best price for a Motorola DOCSIS-3 modem was $85.  When you factor   
   in California sales tax of 8%, and then currency conversion, you're   
   looking at about $95 CDN.   
      
   If you go to Canada Computer's and buy the same modem, and sign up with   
   Teksavvy and get a month free cable internet, you're going to come out   
   ahead.   
      
   Modem prices in the US are no deal right now.   
      
   Best price for an ADSL2 modem is like $50, same as here.
