I still use dos 6.22, win3.11 for workgroups, and win98.
(besides my internetbuggy on xp pro).
The 2014 thing just means that from then on, your XP
will be stable, as long as it has a computer to run on,
and M$ stops de-stabelizing the computer weekly..
It might be smart, to search the web for a sreamlined boot
   cd recipe.
Support stopping does not disable your computer(yet).

I have streamlined xp and SP2 and and downloaded the big
   sp3 executables,WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe and
   xpsp3_5512.080413-2113_usa_x86fre_spcd.iso.
The last one a CD, is a general purpose updater for comp clusters.
So I say, let M$ do its worst.
I only wonder, when will they stop providing the activation
   routine.
If they stop that they might be the target of a big class action.
Hmm... google "save activation" ? Its suppoost te be a file
   somewhere....
