   There is a rumour floating around that Jean Pierre Blais may be part of   
   the finalists for the CRTC's big cheese job expected to be announced in   
   about 2 months.   
      
   Blais is a former CRTC lawyer and later executive director of   
   bradcasting and has since worked for the government, as chief advisor   
   for heritage minister, and is now at Treasury Board.   
      
   Here is what he had to say about the merging of newspaper and TV back in
