   But it came that way. I took it out of the box, plugged it into my   
   router, and it went "online" faster than the old modem, using the same   
   username and password that I've had in that router for about 5 years now.   
      
   The instructions that came with it basically said "if you've got a   
   router, just plug it into the WAN port" and then there was separate set   
   of instructions about setting it up from 192.168.2.1 if I wanted to   
   connect it directly to a computer.
