From: jfmezei.spamnot@vaxination.ca              Rereading the Bell documents, I have found that the 6 to 7mbps speed       bump will apply only to FTTN pricing. Not to the regular 6mbps service.              The 6mbps service (regular) costs (wholesale) roughly $14 while the       6mbps FTTN costs $24.70 for the same speed).              Bell wants the changes to come into effect on June 7th for new       installations. It will do upgrades to existing customers when it has       time (aka: tariff filing does not specify).                            Also in the request:       ##       The Companies note that under separate cover today, they are proposing       to destandardize the 16 Mbps access speed currently offered in General       Tariff (GT) Item 5440, as well as destandardizing the 640 Kbps and 2       Mbps access speeds currently offered in GT Item 5410 – Gateway Access       Service. The Companies are proposing that effective 9 August 2012,       these three speeds will no longer be available to new customers.       Existing customers will be unaffected by this proposal. The Companies'       destandardization proposal is contingent on Commission approval.       ##                     I did not get a copy of that second document. Expect to get one today.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
