There's the catch: why hire a Canadian company to do e-tailing when your
online presence can be in Timbuktu and your web site can be as
Canadian-themed or as vanilla as you like?

#1 (and 2, and 3) issue in outsourcing, especially 'offshoring': assuming
that it's like managing an employee or vendor at home. Not that many small
business owners are experts at that, either, but I've witnessed a company
with multiple offices in North America and Europe get completely blindsided
by everything from bad assumptions through time zone differences to costs
that weren't disclosed up front. How is Joe (of Crazy Joe's Nails) supposed
to know what to expect unless he hires a third party to manage the whole
thing for him... at additional cost, of course.
