   You know, your rant had me thinking back to my school days.   
      
   I've only been in one protest march, and at first I couldn't   
   remember what the march was for. But now I remember - it was   
   a protest against a tuition fee increase. So history has   
   repeated itself. Our march was peaceful, but the RCMP were   
   still there taking pictures of everybody. Dudes in "street   
   clothes" but with shiny black shoes, crew cut hair, and   
   fancy 35mm cameras. They were "oh, so, under cover".   
   You'd think they could change out the shiny black shoes for   
   some sneakers, but I guess their "disguise kit" didn't include   
   footwear.   
      
   Back in those days, I used to make $2.00 an hour in a typical   
   summer job. So those tuition fees were hard to save up for,   
   with the wages being paid. I only had a couple jobs, where   
   the pay was half decent ($10.00 an hour).
