   Au contraire. In a duopoly situation, they get to control pricing have   
   have very hefty profit margins at the retail level. And more   
   importantly, they now get to control most of t=your discretionary   
   spending by collecting the money for phone, internet, TV distribution   
   and now television also since they own the broadcast networks Bell-CTV   
   and Shaw-Global.   
      
   Ever heard of tripple play bundles ? (actually quadruple play with   
   mobile phone service).
