   Ha. I think I did that kind of thing long before Mr. Adams came up with   
   it. I'd go off for a few minutes, get a beer out of the fridge "Yup, the   
   system is back up now ..." or "Yes of course I'm using the 6-inch phone   
   cable you supplied with the modem" and "No, it's connected directly to   
   my computer" or I'd just put the modem in the microwave and they'd send   
   me a new one.
