Because a topless Kate Middleton is important news for network
administartors as millions of pubescent and adult geeks will want to
download those images, increasing the load on networks all around
canada. (and you must consider that it isn't just the downloading of
images, but also the visiting of many web sites prior to find the one
   that has the uncensored picture).

And such images also help boost the canadian economy because those
geeks, in visiting all those web sites prior to finding the right
picture will have seen much canadian advertising (due to geolocation)
and this help boost advertising revenues.

The logical conclusion is that royals exposing themselves to
photographers is good for the canadian economy :-)

Serioulsy, I think William Harry and Kate should just pose for
Playboy/Playgirl with all proceeds going to charity. If there are high
quality "full" images of them from those shoots, then media outlets
won't be interested in paying for fuzzy iphone photos taken from afar
showing Kate with just her top off.

At the end of the day, what is wrong with those images is that someone
   made money from them.
