I'm curious none the less. Just curious how it works in the cable room, if
its different there then in other cable rooms that are older. Has the
cabling technology been grandfathered? All new cable peds will not offer
analog by physically hooking up to it?

It's the same crap, digital cable you just hook the input or split input up
to an LCD television and it brings in all the analogue channels without a
   digital box.
