      From: jonathan.mcleod@microtime-it.com              Statement of Work, Data Communications Technician:              1.0 Required Resource       The IRB requires one (1) Data Communications Technician to provide services       on a full-time basis for the period of the specified contract.       The standard working day at the IRB starts at 8:00 am to 4:30pm, with 1 hour       for a lunch break, or ½ hour for lunch and two 15 minutes breaks throughout       the day.              2.0 Mandatory Requirements:       Must have experience in a production environment with Nortel Baystack and       Nortel Passport equipment.       Must have experience in a production environment with Checkpoint NG.              3.0 Statement of Work       The IRB maintains a Wide Area Network, which is connected via LAN Extension       technology, connected via Nortel Passport Switches throughout the country.       Within the IRB offices, Baystack switches are used as the backbone to the       network infrastructure.              Data Communications       > Support and Implementation of existing and new infrastructure technology.        * Document any changes to the infrastructure related to change in hardware       or technology.        * Review and implement code revisions to existing Nortel infrastructure       equipment.       > Performing network/data communications management functions.       Functions includes:        * Provide daily, weekly and consolidated monthly reports on network       performance and utilization.        * Support the existing Nortel Optivity network installation.       > Implementing and maintain existing Checkpoint environment:        * Provide support for the existing Checkpoint NG environment.        * Review and implement service pack releases for the IRE3 production       Checkpoint environment.        * Document any changes to the infrastructure related to change in hardware       software or technology.       > Second to Third Level Technical Support        * Test, install, configure and maintain hardware and software components       related to the IRB Network Infrastructure.        * Provide technical support to HQ and Regional systems staff.              4.0 Deliverables       The Data Communications Technician will be required to produce the following       deliverables:       Detailed documentation and diagrams of all work performed.       > Visio network diagrams detailing configuration of the IRB network       > infrastructure.       > Configuration documentation of the Passport and Baystack switches       > including: passwords, SNMP communities, routing, VLAN's, assigned IP's,       > etc.       All documentation, scripts and programs developed for the IRB will become       the property of the IRB.              Weekly status reports:        > Statistical reports provided on a daily, weekly and ad-hoc basis       detailing network performance - local network and LAN Extensions.              5.0 Language Requirements       The proposed resource shall be able to provide services in English.              Please send your resume to jonathan.mcleod@microtime-it.com.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
