   JOB SUMMARY   
      
   We are seeking a Java/J2EE developer to work on our next generation   
   CIS/Billing system. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of   
   Java, J2EE, JFC/Swing, Java Beans development, SQL, web based front-ends,   
   OOP design principles and design patterns.   
      
   JOB RELATIONSHIPS   
      
   §                     Reports to: Director, Research & Development   
      
   §                     Interrelationships: This position will be involved   
   directly with the R&D team, as well as the Professional and Support Services   
   departments as required.   
      
   §                     Location: Ottawa   
      
   JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES   
      
   §                     Minimum 1-2 years of experience in software   
   development using Java technologies (JFC/Swing, J2EE, JDBC, JDK 1.4.x a   
   minimum).   
      
   §                     Knowledge of OOP and design patterns.   
      
   §                     Experience with multi-tier architectures.   
      
   §                     A thorough knowledge of SQL and/or Oracle Database   
   Server.   
      
   §                     Worked with bug tracking software.   
      
   §                     Experience developing in a team environment.   
      
   §                     Worked with source control software.   
      
   §                     Ability to work independently, are flexible, self   
   motivated and a team player   
      
   §                     Experience with a J2EE application server (JBoss   
   preferred)   
      
   PREFERENCES   
      
   §                     Have experience developing applications for both -   
   Windows and Linux.   
      
   §                     Have experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle and   
   Informix.   
      
   §                     Experience developing in multiple languages (e.g. C++,   
   C, Perl, VB etc.)
