   Java Developer - Permanent Position

   We are seeking a Java/J2EE developer to work on our next generation   
   CIS/Billing system. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of   
   Java, J2EE, JFC/Swing, Java Beans development, SQL, web based front-ends,   
   OOP design principles and design patterns.   
      
   JOB RELATIONSHIPS   
   Reports to: Director, Research & Development   
   Interrelationships: This position will be involved directly with the R&D   
   team, as well as the Professional and Support Services departments as   
   required.   
   Location: Ottawa   
      
   JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES   
   . Minimum 1-2 years of experience in software development using Java   
   technologies (JFC/Swing, J2EE, JDBC, JDK 1.4.x a minimum).   
   . Knowledge of OOP and design patterns.   
   . Experience with multi-tier architectures.   
   . A thorough knowledge of SQL and/or Oracle Database Server.   
   . Worked with bug tracking software.   
   . Experience developing in a team environment.   
   . Worked with source control software.   
   . Ability to work independently, are flexible, self motivated and a team   
   player   
   . Experience with a J2EE application server (JBoss preferred)   
      
   PREFERENCES   
   . Have experience developing applications for both - Windows and Linux.   
   . Have experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle and Informix.   
   . Experience developing in multiple languages (e.g. C++, C, Perl, VB etc.)
