      XPost: tor.jobs, ont.jobs, misc.jobs.offered       From: pce@magma.ca              Business Analyst for a fast paced Canadian Corporation              North Toronto Location.              Working with large inventory and accounting system applications, your       experience with the automotive or other related industry will be an asset.       This is a full-time position within the company.              The BA would be involved in scope development, planning, determining       requirements, recommending solutions, testing and implementation.              Responsibilities:       Assist with the evaluation of existing business applications and the       translation of the opportunities for improvement into a corporate business       strategy       Understand the business environment, anticipate trends, and ensure the       business requirements meet the long term growth       Help define the IT application maintenance and enhancement work for the       business functions' systems to maintain or improve the effectiveness and the       quality of the applications       Facilitate cross-functional business requirements gathering sessions       Act as a liaison between the business owners and the IT team; communicating       the impact of changes to each area       Represent the business owners interests to the software developers/vendors       Differentiate between the business needs and wishes (managing expectations)       Researches and analyzes business requirements to recommend solutions       Conducts root cause analysis on business problems       Documents and maintains business processes using appropriate tools, e.g.       logical data modeling, process mapping, service delivery matrices, event       modeling, customer experience modeling.       Develops and maintains a library of business analysis documentation,       requirements, functional specification including business rules, test plans       & test cases, process maps       Create and carry out test plans, coordinating regression testing,       coordinating user acceptance testing, coordinating systems releases and       implementations       Support the development of appropriate Service Level Agreements between the       business functions and the IT Delivery team       Conduct ad hoc analysis as required              Project Delivery Responsibilities:       Contribute to the development of the Cost Benefit Analysis for projects       Contribute to the identification, analysis and definition of business       requirements documents and business process flow analysis       Support the monitoring and measuring of projects on behalf of the business       to ensure individual project scope, timing and budgetary targets are met       Promote the use of Company specific PMO project management tools and       processes for all projects       Perform as a change agent and support areas in change management              Qualifications for this role include:       Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required as you will       be responsible for communicating with IT and business managers, producing       value-added reports and conducting presentations.       Strong skills in facilitation, interviewing, framing questions, probing and       influencing others       Effective in leading groups encouraging direct and meaningful dialogue       Excellent time management, organization, planning, co-ordination and       scheduling skills       Strong customer focus with emphasis on building and sustaining of       relationships and teams       Excellent problem solving skills, with an emphasis on proactive and creative       approaches and solutions       Ability to effectively manage change and high tolerance for ambiguity       Strong analysis skills and ability to apply critical and logical thinking to       complex problems and situations       Strong ability to synthesize data to support opportunity assessments       Experience using systems development and project management methodologies       Proven experience in MS Office suite of software and knowledge of PCs       University Degree or equivalent       Minimum of 5 years experience in an analytical role or in a project based       environment              Assets:       Certified Business Analysis education        financial / project budgeting understanding              Personality Profile       Energetic, self-motivated, service and people oriented, organized, excellent       analytical skills; excellent writing and communication skills, flexible,       team player, outgoing              Please forward your cv in confidence to:              Susan at pce@magma.ca              Phipps Consulting Enterprises - since 1996       recruiting, business strategies, startups       613-234-0849       Ottawa/Toronto and the World              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
