   Scope of work/responsibilities:   
      
   We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide remote diagnostic and   
   technology support and services to our client's customers.  Working in the   
   routing and communications protocol test domain, supporting high-end test   
   products, you will offer on-line assistance for customers, troubleshoot   
   problems and deliver customized technical solutions.  Other responsibilities   
   may include training, scripting, recommending test methods, guiding the   
   technical support approach of regional support teams and bringing the   
   customer perspective into product development.   
      
   Required skills/qualifications:   
      
   To be considered, candidates must have 3+ years of relevant technical   
   product support experience and have broad knowledge of organizations,   
   products, markets, channels, processes and key customers. You must be   
   customer-focused, results-driven and eager to maintain and grow your   
   specialist product knowledge.  Our product tests protocols on routers,   
   switches and firewalls and run on Windows OS; however, Linux/UNIX knowledge   
   is advantageous. Our product also supports the major   
   routing/switching/transport technologies such as: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, PPPoX,   
   IGMP, PIM, L2TP, DHCP, IPTV, SIP/VoIP, L2 and L3 VPNs, TCP, Ethernet, POS,   
   ATM, etc. Candidate must be able to debug very technical problems reported   
   via email primarily and demonstrate patience and superior support skills   
   when dealing with a broad client base.  Remote troubleshooting is a key   
   requirement as is the ability to troubleshoot TCL scripts. A university   
   degree, diploma, or equivalent with a focus on Telecommunications   
   Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science with   
   telecommunications studies is preferred.
