   - Provide advice, guidance, methodology and review of contracting   
   requirements at Headquarters, Mission posts and the Trade side of Foreign   
   Affairs & International Trade Canada   
      
   - Responsible for contract requirements with thresholds of less then $25,000   
   and call-ups of greater then $100,000   
      
   - Provide initial assessment of contracts with dollar value less then $25k   
   and call-ups greater then $100k prior to coordination with appropriate   
   contract group ( i.e. SPP, COEs, etc.)   
      
   - Interpretation and application of contracting/finance policies of Treasury   
   Board, Public Works and DFAIT.   
      
   - Guides the client in the development of statements of work and the   
   description of deliverables.   
      
   - Use of the IMS (SAP) Material Management module to create/change/amend   
   purchase orders.   
      
   - Communicates and manages relationships with suppliers.   
      
   - Confirm with Project Authorities that contracting stipulations were   
   followed and that the supplier delivered its product/services as detailed in   
   the contract.   
      
   - Knowledge of the appropriate use of acquisition cards, local purchase   
   orders, PS1 and PS2 contracts, etc.   
      
   - Knowledge of common contracting policy/requirements.  (i.e. hospitality,   
   travel, etc.)
