   NEW PM Position:   
      
      
   Purpose:  To conduct a System Inventory Survey then analyze and report on   
   survey results   
      
      
   Term:     October 6, 2008 - December 12, 2008   
      
                 # of Days Effort:   40 days   
      
      
      
   Scope of Work:   
      
   The Provincial-Municipal Working Committee requires a resource to   
      
   design and conduct a survey of the 47 Service Managers to create a System   
   Inventory that will include a listing of each Service Manager's:   
      
   ·         IT Components - hardware and software   
      
   ·         IT Staff   
      
   ·         IT organizational structure   
      
      
      
   Deliverables:   
      
   -        Conduct research and telephone interviews with Service Manager   
   representatives. (The contact details for Service Managers will be provided)   
      
   -        Summarize the results of the interviews.   
      
   -        Prepare weekly progress reports.   
      
   ·-     Compare the results of the survey with the proposed business models.   
      
   ·-     Prepare a Draft report and a Final report.   
      
      
      
   The final report must be based on the results of the survey and must include   
   the analysis, findings, identification of gaps and recommendations for   
   moving forward.  The final report may also include more general observations   
   and advice based on the findings.   
      
      
      
      
      
   Location of Work:   
      
      
      
   Work can be done off-site or on-site in Ottawa.   
      
      
      
   Experience and Qualifications   
      
   ·         Appling research and analytical skills as well as problem-solving   
   methodologies   
      
   ·         Managing projects from conceptualization to completion to address   
   the needs of multiple stakeholders   
      
   ·         Creating surveys/questionnaires   
      
   ·         Conducting phone interviews   
      
   ·         Presenting complex data clearly and providing appropriate advice   
   and options to management   
      
   ·         Producing documentation of excellent clarity, completeness, and   
   overall quality, within established deadlines   
      
   ·         A minimum of 7 years of progressive project management experience   
      
   ·         Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels   
   within an organization and strong interpersonal skills.
