   THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:   
   - Working closely with the entire technology team to develop, test and   
   deploy Java-based solutions   
   - Taking ownership of specific components and/or functional areas of the   
   solution   
   - Developing specifications and estimates for newly proposed solutions   
   - Documenting specific aspects of the architecture as required   
   - Building and maintaining a suite of automated tests   
   - Optimizing code to meet performance metrics   
   - Seeking new strategies and solutions for technical challenges   
      
      
   THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:   
   - Has demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into   
   software solutions   
   - Is energized by a dynamic environment   
   - Posesses a deep knowledge & experience in software architecture   
   methodologies and best practices   
   - Has experience using J2SE, J2EE, JUnit, the XML DOM, XML Schemas and   
   the related Java APIs   
   - Experience working with Open Source technologies such as the Spring   
   Framework & ACEGI Security is a plus   
   - Experience with multiple Java Application Servers is a plus   
   - Experience working on multiple platforms (Windows, Unix/Linux,   
   Mainframe) is a plus
