   Senior Transportation Planner/Modeller - GTA   
      
   Duties and Responsibilities   
      
   As part of our transportation planning team, the successful applicant will:   
   Take a lead role in the analysis of travel forecasts and traffic   
   modelling for a broad variety of transportation planning projects   
   including transportation master plans, major new corridor studies,   
   transit planning studies and land development projects;   
   Analyze and evaluate alternative road, transit and travel demand   
   management strategies;   
   Prepare technical memos, reports and proposals;   
   Supervise and participate in the collection of traffic count data and   
   preparation of inventories of road facilities;   
   Train and mentor junior staff; and   
   Undertake research and analysis of land use, demographic and travel data.   
      
   Qualifications   
      
   Degree/diploma from a recognized University/College program in   
   Engineering, Planning or related field with a minimum of eight years   
   related experience, preferably in a consulting environment;   
   Strong working knowledge of transportation planning principles,   
   processes and practices;   
   Working experience with transportation planning models such as Emme/2,   
   Emme/3, System II, TransCad is essential. Experience with   
   micro-simulation models such as VISSUM, VISUM, Paramics, etc. desirable.   
   Strong interpersonal skills;   
   Well-developed computer and analytical skills;   
   Strong report writing and presentation skills; and   
   Valid driver’s license and availability of vehicle for site visits,   
   meetings, etc.

   This is a F/T opportunity located in the east GTA area. Several large
